About today's speaker: The Rev'd Michael Ellick is a United Church of Christ pastor and a Community Organizer from the Goose Hollow neighborhood in Portland, OR. Raised in a Conservative Baptist church in Washington State, Ellick studied Comparative Religion and Philosophy at the University of Washington before earning his M.Div. at Union Theological Seminary. There he grew frustrated with contemporary theological thinking, and looking for new ways to understand the Gospel and real world practices for embodying it, he studied closely under a Tibetan Buddhist teacher for the next seven years.

A lifelong Episcopalian, she relishes building relationships throughout the wider church to welcome new students to our community. Hope is married to the the Rev'd Dr. Andrew Benko and together they are have two children and a labradoodle.

About today's speakers: The Rev'd Dr. Matthew Lawrence wants your brain happy, your curiosity sparked, and your heart opened to the wisdom of this ancient and often difficult tradition. A graduate of the University of Chicago’s Divinity School, he oversees the educational offerings at Trinity. A student of Zen as well as Contemplative Prayer, he has served as a parish priest, campus chaplain, hospital chaplain, peace activist, policy analyst and management consultant. He also loves to ride his motorcycle along beautiful curvy roads near oceans or mountains.
Dr. Beverly Ffolkes-Bryant has served as Community School District Superintendent at NYC Department of Education for the past four decades and is a member of Trinity Church Wall Street. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

About today's speaker: The Rev'd Heidi Haverkamp is a writer, spiritual director, and Episcopal priest. In 2019, she won two awards from the Church Associated Press for her article “How I learned to love the doctrine of total depravity” in The Christian Century. Her newest book is a year-long personal study and prayer resource based on the Sunday lectionary, the second in a series of three: Everyday Connections: Reflections and Practices for Year A. She is also author of two previous books: Advent in Narnia and Holy Solitude: Lenten Reflections with Saints, Hermits, Prophets, and Rebels. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband.

About today's speaker: The Rev'd Allison Sandlin Liles is a wife, mother, peacemaker and priest-in-charge of St Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Hurst, TX. Allison spent the first six years of her ordained ministry working in churches in Diocese of Alabama, then she spent the following six years serving as Episcopal Peace Fellowship’s Executive Director. Allison joined the Forward Movement staff in May 2018 as editor of Grow Christians, an online community that helps parents foster faith at home through action and conversation. Allison is married to the Rev'd Dr. Eric Liles, mother of two elementary aged children and two rescue dogs.
